This website contains a couple of features to help make your visit a little easier. These are explained a little here.
|Search||Located on the right hand side of the top bar is a search box. This will search the website for whatever term or keyword you enter.|
|Monitor page for changes||The Changedetect feature allows you to keep an eye on the page(s) of your choice and be notified by email when there are any changes. When viewing the page you wish to monitor simply enter your email address and click “Monitor Changes”.|
|Tell a Friend||This lets you send an email to someone containing a link back to the relevant page of the website. If this feature can not detect which page you came from it will send a link to the website instead. You can also include a short message with the link to let your friend know what it is about.|
|W3C Compliant||This site has been checked using the HTML Markup Validator and CSS Validator on the W3C website. Pages are written using, and validate to, XHTML 1.0 Transitional standard.|
|Cascading Style Sheets||This site is formatted using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). The layout has been tested using Internet Explorer and Firefox and it should display well on any CSS compliant browser.|
|Cross Browser Compatible||This site has been tested using the most common web browsers shown below:
|Minimum Resolution||This site will display on monitors using various screen resolutions, however the optimal resolution is 1024 x 768.|
|Member Area Login||This is for current ACREM members to access the resources of the member area.|
|Security CAPTCHA||Contact forms (Contact Form, Division Contact Form, Tell a Friend) and the Guestbook entry form include a security CAPTCHA image, to help reduce spam from automatic web bots. CAPTCHA stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart” and is used on many websites to help eliminate spam. It uses an image presented in a distorted manner that can only be read by a human, thereby stopping automated bots from submitting the form.
Our CAPTCHA feature uses Session Cookies to pass the value of the security key, which is then checked against the key entered by the user. Those that are vision impaired can choose an audio CAPTCHA instead of the visual image. This feature will play a sequence of six (6) characters as an audio file so the user can enter the relevant code.
